SSF works with the Special Olympics to provide people with intellectual disabilities with the opportunity to discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. The Special Olympics believes in utilizing the transformative power of sports to instill confidence and improve health among those with intellectual disabilities. SSF provides elite yet accessible coaching to special Olympians, allowing them to get a taste for the sport whilst having fun, making new friends and inspiring their communities.
In November 2016, Sloane took the role of head coach as the Foundation hosted adaptive tennis at William Clinton Jefferson Summer School Special Olympics for 300 Special Olympians.
We look forward to continuing to work with the Special Olympics in the future!
